Trick shot

Yesterday Te Ngahere did a Trick shot challenge. The first instruction was to find a way to get a ping pong ball into a plastic cup in the most creative way possible.it has to be at least 3 seconds long. My group was Thea, Archie, Pharrell, Ondreous and joseph. The day that we started we finally got our idea. This was our group plan make the glue stick or a tin roll down a cardboard hit the top of a book and knock over heaps of books and whiteboard pens and on the last pen we put a pen on top of a pen and puted the ball on top so when it knocks over the last pen will fall and the rubber will land into a tin. Have you ever done a trick shot before. What we changed we changed it from going from the table into the lockers to starting at the lockers to the table.

Amazing maths around us

In Te Ngahere we have been learning how to Identify maths in the world around us. We had to look at a Picture of gingerbread men, we had to explain what we noticed about the picture. In my group we noticed that things were the same and some things were different. We also knew the number of things and the shapes of things. I learnt that there is all sorts of maths around me. Have you ever used your maths eyes to look at maths in the world.
