Steps of a qulity blog post

In Te Ngahere we have been learning what are the steps to a quality blog post. First of all step 1 is the Title, The 2 step is the Introduction, Then step 3 is the DLO, then step 4 is the  Sources, then step 5 is the Reflection and questions. A title is possibly the most important part of your post! It needs to be cathey and make the reader want to click to learn more. A introduction is your post with what you have been learning about. Let the reader know what the focus of this post is for feedback, to teach. To publish). Include a link to the information your teacher has given you to help complete this task. A source is where you add links or videos to research you may have done to help you with your presentation. It makes sure that you are not stealing anyone's work. This can also be called referencing and it is a good habit to get in to. The reflection is where you share your thoughts about what you have learnt, what challenges you overcome and what your next learning step may be. And the questions is always sign off with a thank you and a question to make people want to comment on your post.

Beach clean up

At Paihia School my class, Te Ngahere, went to clean up the beach. We started cleaning down by the toilets by the liquor store. We started then everyone started to run to find rubbish. We were the first group to find heaps of rubbish when we started. I found smokes, beer bottles, and heaps of cans. I think that everyone should pick up after themselves not drop rubbish they then don't dispose of properly. I really think it is a good experience for New Zealand and I had heaps of fun trying to make my group win.

Duffy Rebecca brothers

In Te Ngahere we had a Duffy Visitor; her name was Rebecca Brothers. She is a great athletic swimmer who left swimming because she had a child on board. She had all of this time so she became a police officer for 10 years. She went to Christchurch after the earthquake in April so she went in May. She also mentioned that they had to wear these strong hats and they had to stay in the car because the ground was still shaking and buildings were falling down - so dangerous. I learnt that you must be a great reader and keep reading; never give up. We have Duffy people come into our School because they can help and give us books so we read all the time.

Word problems

In Te Ngahere we have been learning maths and word problems, we are in different maths groups. My buddys are Missy and Emma.T we started word problems I started off doing nothing then I figured how to do it on my own. The First problem I found easy to do, it was 38 + 18  + 37 -28. We couldn't just have the answer we needed to show the working out. It was easy then it got harder and harder on the money. I really enjoyed number 4 with Matua Pep and Whaea Becks.

Cross country

At Paihia School last week on Friday we did cross country with the whole School. My group the year 7s ran with the year 8s I think I did well at that start of the race but I slowed down because I hurt my leg on the fence before we started at least I tried my best to run. Me  Anthony and Katipa ran together up the big hill but then I left them behind. My favorite part was running down the hill, running at the finish line and of course eating . I'd like to say thank you to all of the parents who gave their time up from work to come and prepare our wonderful food.
