Marble Challenge

In Te Ngahere we have being doing a Marble challenge. Our group got 31 points. My group was Jack, Zane, Dayton, and Mikaire. I think my group was participating and collaborating. I think we did well and I enjoyed laughing and getting happy when the marble landed close to the number five. To make our ramp you had to turn the Ice cream container upside down and put the white board on an angle. We had to measure the distance where it rolled.

Technology

In Te Ngahere the year 7&8s went to Moerewa School for Technology. The year 7s were making pizza with Whaea Dot. The year 8s were doing woodwork with Mr E. In cooking we were learning how to make pizza and what healthy food like capsaicum, bacon, pineapple, lettuce, cheese, and tomato so we can add to our pizza. First we had to bake the pizza base with yeast and water in a bowl and put it in the oven. Then we pulled the doue out and rolled it in the flour

.Then we had to shape the pizza into a big circle and put the sauce on the top. Then we put the topping on. My buddy was Isaiah.M we made a big pizza. We had the healthiest pizza, I think we did well and enjoyed making our pizza. I think next time we can put more vegetables on our pizza.

Kupe, Nukutawhiti, James Cook, and Abel Tasman.

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about Kupe, Nukutawhiti, James Cook, and Abel Tasman. Mark-O and I were doing Kupe. This is what I found out about Kupe, Kupe was the Chief of Hawaiki. He was the first explorer in Māori history to discover Aotearoa. He sailed on his big strong waka from Hawaiki to Aotearoa in AD905. When Kupe was sailing he saw  Te Wheke-A-Muturangi, Kupe wanted to kill Te Wheke for eating all his fish. When Kupe was chasing Te Wheke it lead him to New Zealand. Kupe was the Chief of Hawaiki.
