Duffy School

Yesterday we had our first Duffy school assembly. A girl named Zinkie from another planet came to Paihia School to give out some free Duffy books so we can read them in class or you can give it to your mum or dad so they can read the book to you. Then after she went we said bye. Then we went back to class so we can read the books that we got for free. My books were “The First Day Daz Went To School” and another Minecraft book. The assembly was so fun.

healthy drinks

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about healthy drinks Whaea Gina came in yesterday to teach us how many sugar is in fizzy drinks whaea Gina brought some traffic lights. The green traffic light was to drink it every day, The orange is to drink it sometimes, The red means you would only drink it once a month.

Technology

In Te Ngahere we have been doing Technology. We make random things out of pallets. I was in a group with Keekee, Bombee and Missy. We were thinking because there was heaps of things to make. But we made a spice rack. It was fun to make it but before we made the spice rack we measured the wood we all had fun making all sorts of things.

breakfast

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about breakfast. We should always start  off with breakfast because that fills us up before we have morning tea. Everyone got given a card Lesane and I got rolled oats  cereal. We had traffic lights that represents if it can be good. I think it was cool how we did the traffic lights.

Technology

In Te Ngahere we have been doing technology. We are making a candle holder. We have started we have been sanding and getting the nails out of the pallet. We sand them so they look good. Mr Lindsay brought some tools so we can sell some stuff for our camp. Whaea Becks said that we should make something easy so it's not hard for us to make so we are making a candle holder.

Technology

In Te Ngahere we have been doing Technology and we are nearly done. Its is fun when we make stuff. My group are Cj and Lennix they are so helpful they help me get all the nails out. It is so fun doing technology. I wish we could do it every day so we can have heaps of fun. We were going to make a hole in the top but it didn't go in how far we wanted it to go in so we were thinking of putting it on the side. It was fun. I like doing technology. The thing i like doing is sanding down the timber because it is fun and it is smooth. When you feel the timber after you have sanded it, it looks like it is brand new. It looks cool as. We were doing a candle holder because it was the easiest thing to do. I like what we are doing

healthy eating

In Te Ngahere We have been learning about what is healthy for you and what is unhealthy for you with Whaea Gina. Whaea Gina showed us a healthy heart and an unhealthy heart. I learnt a lot of things like what food is unhealthy and what food is healthy. We learnt about unhealthy takeaways that they got heaps of fat pies, butter chicken, wraps, McDonald's, subway, Wendy's, sushi, Chinese and KFC.
